What is EasyDRAIN?

EasyDRAIN is a revolutionary type of stormwater drain that is designed to be quick and easy to install. Unlike traditional stormwater drains, which require extensive excavation and complex installation processes, EasyDRAIN is designed to be connected together easily. While it requires some digging and cementing, the connection and setup are much less extensive than other drainage systems.

Types of EasyDRAIN systems

Our EasyDRAIN systems come in different channel and grate systems to suit your drainage needs, the two main ones are:

  • EasyDRAIN Standard: Our Standard systems are designed to suit all residential and commercial needs and can handle medium to high rain flow, effectively draining the water through the system and away from your property.
  • EasyDRAIN Compact: Our Compact system is as the name suggests, more compact and as such designed for areas that have medium to low water flow. Despite their size, these channels can effectively distribute water effectively throughout the drainage system.

How to install EasyDRAIN

Installing EasyDRAIN systems is a straightforward process that requires minimal expertise. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you get started with the Standard and Compact systems:

  1. Choose the Right Location: Identify the location where you want to install the EasyDRAIN. Make sure it is away from any obstructions and is in a location where water can flow freely.
  2. Prepare the Site: Clear the site of any debris or obstructions. If necessary, mark out the area where you will be installing the EasyDRAIN. Then dig your trench about 50mm deeper and wider than the channel you are installing, while sloping down 1cm for every metre of channel.
  3. Pour the Concrete: You can then pour the concrete slurry into the base of the trench. You can also use a string line to ensure the trench and concrete are straight and the correct height.
  4. Connect the Channel: Lock the grates into the channel and then connect the sections together with the other elements, ensuring the End Cap is connected to the highest point of the channel. You can also cut a hole in the base of the Channel, Slim Pit or End Cap as required to connect PVC pipe easily and then seal with silicone.
  5. Place the Channel: Once the channel and grates are fully connected you can then place them in the trench and push them into the concrete slurry until the feet are completely immersed.
  6. Secure and Finish: To fully secure and finish your stormwater drain installation you need to place a suitable expansion material along the top edge of the channel, approximately 75mm wide and 10mm thick, and attach it to the channel with adhesive tape. Finish by pouring concrete down each side of the channel, ensuring that the base is immersed and lightly compacted approximately 2-3mm above surface level of the grate.
