The Everhard Industries Foundation has evolved from a private charitable fund established in the early 2000s by the major shareholders of Everhard, the late Selwyn and Beryl Davis, as way of giving back to the community. The Foundation has since donated more than $400,000 to charities focussed on medical research, disability and environmental issues.
In 2016, as part of our 90th Anniversary celebrations, we worked to raise funds for WetlandCare, a conservation organisation dedicated to protecting and restoring our natural wetlands and wildlife habitats. Funds raised helped WetlandCare to restore the banks of Cabbage Tree Creek, regenerating the habitat for native flora and fauna.
In early 2017, staff at Everhard had the opportunity to nominate their favourite charities to receive funds in the annual distribution round. This resulted in funds going to charities as diverse as Dry July to a specialised Perth playground for children with a disability.
More recently, the Foundation had the opportunity to get involved with a local Brisbane charity project by installing two bathroom vanities into a property being restored for use as a homeless shelter.
The Foundation is now overseen by two members of the fourth generation of the Davis-Boyce family, Bede Boyce and Gina Rowe who continue Selwyn & Beryl’s legacy.
